November 29th, 2021 – SAPPHIRE Technology announces the new SAPPHIRE GearBox 500 Thunderbolt™3 eGFX Enclosure now available as a solution with the PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB AMD RDNA™ 2 Graphics Card. The Gearbox 500 eGFX Enclosure features an updated chassis design that with improved airflow that when connected to the latest graphics cards drastically improves the performance of Thunderbolt ™ 3 / 4 Mac or Windows 10 enabled devices.


Designed for users that need the performance boost to run bandwidth intensive applications such as professional software and the latest 1080P games, the GearBox 500 eGFX Enclosure’s light weight and slim small form factor design is highly portable and as well as the PULSE RX 6600 XT, can host up to a 350W PCI-Express x16 Graphics Cards from both AMD and Nvidia’s consumer and professional GPU families.


When combined with the Award-Winning PULSE RX 6600 XT Graphics Card with its robust Metal Backplate Design and powerful Dual-X Cooling Technology, users can reap the benefits of Intelligent Cooling Solutions that deliver lower PCB temperatures, minimum noise and maximum stability. SAPPHIRE Graphics Cards are acclaimed in the industry for pushing the outer limits of performance, innovation and engineering quality. 


The versatile GearBox 500 eGFX Enclosure comes equipped with a maximum 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt™3/4 port that can connect to laptops or small form factor computers lifting performance to the next level and experiencing the full capability of the PULSE RX 6600 XT. It comes with PD Charging (Power Delivery Charging) which is capable of fully charging a laptop of up to 60 Watts. Furthermore, the GearBox 500 eGFX Enclosure features Gigabit Ethernet to enable high speed internet via the LAN port, and dual USB ports that provide additional connections for USB devices used for data transfer or peripherals such as keyboards and mice.
